As chief accounting officer with Corinthian Development Company, Desiree Silo is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s accounting operations, including financial reporting and establishment and enforcement of Corinthian’s accounting policies and procedures, in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ms. Silo is also responsible for Corinthian’s internal accounting controls.
Prior to joining Corinthian, Ms. Silo was senior vice president of accounting with Thompson National Properties from 2008 through 2013. She previously served as assistant controller at Grubb & Ellis Realty Investors, LLC, formerly Triple Net Properties, LLC, where she monitored cash flow, developed and implemented policies and procedures as well as built and managed the limited liability company accounting team. Ms. Silo was corporate controller at Hunt Enterprises, Inc. from 2003 to 2005 and held accounting positions with Beach Cities Health District, Sares-Regis Group and CB Richard Ellis, Inc.
Ms. Silo earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Hope International University.
